2013 in Review

Hello everybody! Good to see this blog is… Oh boy, what’s all this dust doing flying out of my keyboard? Has it really been that long since I graced this site with an update? Oops!

Well, seeing as how 2013 is behind us, this seems as good a time as any to take a look at all that’s happened in the world of Al-Shamma-Jones.

Vorisin

My first novel, Vorisin, was published in its complete form early this year. It was the product of many years of blood, sweat, and tea, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. To those of you who are eagerly waiting for the next book, Telvant, don’t worry–it’s coming! There have been many real-life related delays, but I won’t let a little thing like real life get in the way of finishing the story of Craig and Will.

Dragon Nest

It’s been an exciting year for the land of Altera. We’ve had lots and lots of meaty story updates, including a new main character, the appearance of one of the Six Heroes, and two new dragons to fight (plus a mad scientist plus the dad of everybody’s favorite orc, Landslide Krag). Add to that Dragon Nest’s spot on Digital Trend’s top 10 free-to-play MMO list, which praises Dragon Nest for a story that “unfurls with a surprising amount of depth given the exceptional dialogue,” and I’m pretty happy with how this year turned out. And we’ve got an even more exciting year coming up in 2014, so stay tuned!
